Role
Who you are
- Production experience with React Native, including specific demonstrated experience with:
- React Hooks
- REST or GraphQL integration
- Experience unit testing
- React Native style system
- 6-8 years minimum experience in production mobile app development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience with utility libraries such as react-query
- Experience with interface design tools
- Ability to follow work throughout the entire development life cycle
- Experience with leading tech teams
- Capable of developing features matching designs
- Willingness and openness to learn new skills, technologies, and frameworks
- Capable and demonstrated ability to problem-solve independently and the wisdom to ask for help when stuck
- Ability to drive work independently
- Understanding of web application projects
- Knowledge of responsive design principles
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and identify potential risks and changes proactively
What the job involves
- LUDEX, LLC is an AI Tech and mobile app development company in the sport/trading card and collectible industry and we are looking to add a Team Lead Senior React Native Developer to our growing technology team
- This is a hands-on technical role for an experience React Native developer, yet includes the opportunity to mentor and lead others
- As part of the technology team, the Senior React Native Developer will support and lead our technical lead in the planning and development of the Ludex platform
- The Team Leader and Senior React Native Developer will be responsible for key work throughout the Ludex platform, developing new features and improving on existing infrastructure and code
- Develop and test mobile app code based on user specifications, with varying degree of independence vs. collaboration with the rest of the tech team
- Modify existing code throughout the app to correct errors or improve performance
- Participate in testing and validation procedures
- Manage the full development lifecycle, from initial project development through QA and deployment oversight
- Lead, mentor, and manage team members, project timelines, and deliverables
Our take
The card trading and collecting community is stronger than ever, but keeping track of the value of collections has to date been complicated and tedious. Faced with this, LUDEX was founded to provide a better and quicker way to discover the value of cards, with its innovative AI-powered scanning app.
With LUDEX, collectors of baseball, football, and basketball cards, as well as both Pokémon and MTG trading cards, can find out the worth of individual cards by simply scanning the front of them. In addition, the app allows users to add cards to their portfolios, and see the total value of different collectible sets - sorted by card type or a custom characteristic.
The company's next steps include expanding the card-types it services to include Yu-Gi-Oh!, soccer, and MMA cards, amongst others. It has raised significant investment to accelerate growth and expand operations, all towards its goal of empowering those in the community to pursue their hobby more easily.
