Who you are
- At least 5+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership or strategic IT roles at high-growth technology companies desired
- Proven track record of defining IT strategy and developing comprehensive roadmaps for scaling IT functions
- At least 2+ years of experience managing a team of IT professionals
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set strategy, build a detailed plan, and drive execution effectively
- Strong program management skills with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategic insights
- Superior communication skills, capable of driving significant change, securing buy-in, and ensuring adoption of best practices in IT, security & compliance across the organization
- Experience with IT security and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and SOC2, ISO27001, HIPAA beyond basic familiarity, and a deep understanding of modern security principles and technologies
- Proven expertise in corporate asset management, Google Workspace, networks, and general IT security
- Familiarity with Atlassian Toolsuite (Jira, Jira Service Desk, Confluence) and integration with apps such as Salesforce and Slack

- To continue managing world-class IT services for the company, Dremio is looking for an IT professional to strategically enhance and mature the corporate IT function
- While the company has made progress in establishing its IT services, this role is critical to define the future vision, create a comprehensive strategy, and build a multi-year roadmap for IT and security
- The ideal candidate will have extensive experience scaling IT in high-growth environments, with a strong background in IT, security and compliance
- They should be comfortable driving strategic initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging their problem-solving and program management skills to enhance the productivity and security of the company and its employees
- The company leverages SaaS heavily, and business owners administer their tech stack
- Therefore, while deep systems experience is beneficial, strategic program management, proactive initiative, and advanced problem-solving are even more critical characteristics for this evolving role
- Reporting to the CISO, this IT role will lead the evolution of IT functions across the company’s offices in multiple countries and remote locations in the USA, Europe and India
- The role will work closely with the engineering & SRE teams, security & compliance, and with the People team to administer user onboarding/offboarding and general IT help desk support
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for corporate IT, aligning with business objectives and security best practices
- Lead the maturation of IT processes and services, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and robustness for a growing organization
- Collaborate with HR to optimize and automate employee lifecycle management, including provisioning of central systems for onboarding and offboarding
- Drive advanced security and compliance initiatives, including the automation of group lists, permissions management, and incident response monitoring (e.g. , laptop theft, onsite network)
- Working closely with the CISO, evolve and implement robust policies and procedures to maintain the security and compliance of the company’s data and systems
- Lead the strategic evaluation, secure integration, and ongoing management of AI technologies and their impact on IT services
- Develop guidelines and best practices for the responsible and secure adoption of AI tools across the company
- Implement and maintain a comprehensive inventory of company IT systems (SaaS-based), leveraging this data for strategic planning and optimization
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline, automate, and improve efficiencies of IT infrastructure processes through innovative solutions
- Strategically oversee and optimize core assets of company IT, including network and related security (wi-fi, internet access, VPN management, etc.), Google Workspace, JIRA, Confluence, Slack, and laptops
- Lead and enhance compliance programs, ensuring continuous adherence to industry standards and regulations

Data lakehouse platform Dremio bridges the gap between data warehouses and data lakes to help data engineers, analysts and scientists streamline, curate, and run queries on raw, purpose non-specific data, allowing them to quickly build analytics stacks. The self-service platform enables users to create datasets from a multitude of sources and can be deployed on Kubernetes clusters, AWS, and Azure.
The company is tackling the longstanding, time-draining problem of having to manually extract raw data and load it into data warehouses, providing customers with low-cost, sub-second SQL queries for BI on the data lakehouse. Its offering has captured the attention of some big-name clients including Samsung, Bose, HSBC, and Microsoft, and has raised substantial funding.
Dremio is well set to see continued growth as it continues to innovate its data offerings, with a focus on security and privacy. A partnership with PlainID, provider of a central access control platform, will allow clients to manage and control access to data via Dremio, and the company has also achieved HIPAA certification.
