Who you are
- Native English language skills (C2) - You communicate confidently with English-speaking parents and can get them excited about our offering
- Sales mindset & initiative - You love to convince people, actively expand your customer base and set yourself ambitious goals
- Strong communication skills - you are persuasive, listen carefully, find solutions and manage to build trust
- Experience in sales (2-3 years of experience) - Have you already had your first contact with sales or customer service? Perfect!
- Experience with CRM systems (an advantage) - If you have already worked with CRM tools, you are well prepared
What the job involves
- The perfect combination - you manage sales & customer success - from the first consultation to long-term support
- Advise & convince - You advise parents and students, recommend optimal learning solutions and find suitable tutors
- Generating deals - You generate deals, get families excited about tutoring packages and successfully conclude contracts
- Build customer relationships - You strengthen customer loyalty, manage your customer base and optimize the learning experience
- Upselling & referrals - You increase sales through upselling strategies and promote referrals in a targeted manner
Our take
Education has seen a whirlwind of change, from remote classrooms to increased academic ambitions, and there is a big opportunity to transform how students learn by expanding access to quality education. GoStudent is a leading K12 online tutoring marketplace aiming to facilitate this transformation.
It focuses on one-to-one tutoring, letting students and their parents pick tutors for general support or exam preparation. Tutors are tested, vetted and interviewed before they can join the platform. The company has grown quickly, operates in numerous markets and earned Unicorn status in 2021.
This success was dampened by a report by lead investor Prosus in 2024 that the value of the company had decreased from €3 billion to about €970 million. This effectively stripped the company of Unicorn status, but it nonetheless continues to operate as a recognised force in the EdTech sector.
