Role
Who you are
- 4-5 years of experience in data analytics, insights, or product analytics roles
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, or similar)
- Proven experience partnering with Product teams to drive data-informed decision-making
- Strong experience designing and analyzing experimentation (A/B tests, multivariate tests)
- High autonomy in working with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and data storytelling skills
- Growth mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude
- Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments or startups
Desirable
- Deep knowledge of experimentation platforms and best practices in test design
- Familiarity with event tracking tools like Segment, Amplitude, or MixPanel
- Experience with Python for advanced data manipulation and analysis
- Understanding of marketplace dynamics and user engagement metrics
- Exposure to UX research collaboration
- Knowledge of digital product metrics and customer journey analytics
What the job involves
- As a Senior Product Data Analyst, you will be a key partner to our Product teams, transforming data into actionable insights that directly shape the user experience and product strategy at CookUnity
- You’ll dive deep into user behaviors within our marketplace, identifying opportunities to enhance engagement, streamline user journeys, and drive product innovation
- This is a high-impact role where you'll own the analytics behind critical product decisions, build scalable data solutions, and foster a culture of data-driven experimentation
- You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Product Managers, Engineers, UX Researchers, and other stakeholders
- Analyze user interactions across the platform to uncover trends, pain points, and growth opportunities. Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that guide product development and improve user experience
- Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau, empowering product and business stakeholders to independently explore key metrics and monitor product performance
- Establish robust metric frameworks and customer segmentation models to deepen understanding of user behavior, drive personalization, and support product growth initiatives
- Partner with engineering teams to improve data collection processes, ensuring comprehensive tracking of user behaviors and maintaining high data quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively identify learning opportunities. Drive strategic conversations by framing the right analytical questions and delivering data-driven insights that influence product roadmaps
- Lead by example in promoting best practices in analytics, experimentation, and data storytelling within product teams

CookUnity is a meal subscription service which connects consumers with some of the country's best known chefs, including Esther Choi, Chris Ratel and Andy Mendez. Consumers can select from a menu of handcrafted meals that cater to a wide variety of palates and dietary preferences. Believing that healthy food fuels stronger communities, CookUnity contributes to an ongoing partnership and donation with the Food Bank For New York City.
The New York founded business hit the headlines for its upward trajectory in 2020, where it secured 15.5 million in funding and saw an expected boost not just in demand, but in the supply of top culinary talent at a time when restaurants were struggling.
While there’s a wide world of meal plan delivery services, CookUnity has a jump on much of the competition as it’s the first service that connects such eminent chefs directly with the customer. This has allowed it to expand across much of the US, and it now prepares over 10 million meals annually for its 50,000 subscribers.
With most of the urban US now covered by its service, CookUnity is moving into the next phase of its growth, expanding the range of sellers and food products on the platform, and has plans to offer family-sized portions, brekfast options and cooking classes using its existing physical and digital infrastructure. This will enable it to grow into an all-in-one meal subscription service over the coming years.
