Who you are
- Consultative sales mindset with exposure to both B2C and B2B environments
- Proven ability to manage a high-volume sales pipeline with accuracy and follow-through
- Structured sales framework expertise (SPIN or similar)
- Persuasive communicator who builds trust and navigates objections with empathy

- Tech-savvy, able to juggle multiple tools (Slack, Gmail, Pipedrive, Meets, Frontapp, internal tools)

What the job involves
- As an Account Manager at Ergeon, you’ll step into a key position in the Sales Department focused on becoming a trusted advisor to residential homeowners
- You’ll guide them through informed decisions about enhancing their properties, uncover challenges, and develop tailored solutions that deliver personal and property value
- Through Ergeon’s consultative sales process, you’ll contribute to customer satisfaction and revenue growth
- Success in this role means building trust, mastering consultative selling, understanding the residential customer journey, and committing to continuous learning and improvement
- Manage leads from qualification to close to delivery of service
- Conduct outbound communications, including calls, SMS, and email. Respond to inbound emails, texts, and phone calls
- Apply consultative sales techniques (including SPIN) to uncover needs and build value
- Build rapport and trust with customers by understanding their personal goals and property challenges
- Connect customer needs to tailored solutions that enhance their property and lifestyle
- Track and manage your pipeline using CRM tools, prioritizing follow-ups and closing activities
- Coordinate with PMs and CSRs to deliver a seamless experience
- Share customer insights and trends with the Sales Team Leader
- Collaborate to refine our tools, training materials, and team processes
- Contribute to knowledge sharing
- Coverage window: Monday through Sunday, 7 AM Eastern Time to 8 PM Pacific Time
- Your shift: 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, scheduled somewhere within the window above
Our take
Considering that the construction industry is worth over $10 trillion globally, it’s got its fair share of issues. Chief amongst these is a labor shortage, particularly in the USA where there are at least a half a million unfulfilled jobs.
The majority of these jobs are smaller, faster home improvement projects which don’t appeal to contractors. Homeowners in turn are often unable to source small businesses, given their lack of online visibility.
Ergeon, whose CTO is Upwork co-founder Odysseas Tsatalos, wants to bridge this divide by allowing customers to order construction projects online, then sourcing local contracting partners to complete the job while freeing them of any admin. Its first offering is fences, but the plan is to quickly roll out more home construction services.
The company was in stealth mode for four years before exploding onto the scene in 2022 with tens of millions in funding, and a global staff headcount already in the hundreds. This early aggression indicates that the plan is to expand rapidly in the US before going international.
