Who you are
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Account Manager to join our dynamic and rapidly growing retail team
- Proven track record within Retail Account Management or similar role within a multinational organization
- Extensive experience managing multiple accounts across different countries within EMEA markets
- Solid understanding of distributor management practices along with direct sales strategies
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Results-oriented with a focus on driving revenue growth and business expansion
- In-depth knowledge of the consumer technology market, including trends, products, and retail channels
- Proficient in demand planning methodologies and order-to-cash processes
- Exceptional communication skills; able to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Strong negotiation abilities coupled with excellent problem-solving skills
What the job involves
- This role requires an individual who can effectively manage the day-to-day operations of 4 to 5 key accounts, spanning multiple geographies across EMEA and potentially other international markets
- You will be responsible for overseeing and executing the retail sales strategy for Oura’s business across key accounts in the EMEA region
- You will work independently and collaborate with key stakeholders to establish and maintain strong relationships with retail partners, drive revenue growth, and enhance brand presence within these key partners
- Oversee the day-to-day management of assigned key accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and customer satisfaction across multiple geographies including UK, Nordics and Germany
- Develop and implement a comprehensive retail sales strategy for each customer aligned with overall company objectives and growth targets
- Drive revenue growth by negotiating and closing sales agreements with key retail partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their main point of contact and be the conduit between both businesses
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product management, supply chain, and operations, to ensure retailer requirements and needs are being met
- Demonstrate expertise in working with distributors while maintaining an understanding of both direct sales channels and partnerships
- Utilize effective demand planning techniques to optimize inventory levels while meeting customer expectations
- Manage the order-to-cash process efficiently, ensuring accurate invoicing, prompt payment collection, and resolving any discrepancies in collaboration with finance
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify new business opportunities and drive continuous improvement in sales performance
- Analyze sales data, market research, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement, optimize pricing strategies, and enhance the overall customer experience
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for business growth
- Stay updated on industry developments, emerging technologies, and retail trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership to stay ahead of the competition

As smart watches with health and wellbeing monitoring functions are now an everyday norm, Oura is offering similar wearable technology with its series of rings. It’s one of a number of companies gaining serious traction in the market, along with the likes of Circular and Movano.
The company gained an early profile after its collaboration with Gucci which created mainstream publicity and may have given it a leg up on the competition. With the smart ring market forecast to keep growing, Oura certainly finds itself in a promising position as it moves to build out its operations and refine the product.
The bottom line for Oura will be customer satisfaction and demand, which does make its mixed reviews so far a little troubling. That said, the announcement of its new "Circles" social feature, on top of an integration with InsideTracker and acquisition of "wave to pay" company Proxy, all look set to increase the functionality of the ring and could well win more consumers over.
