Role
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience as digital product or UI/UX designer
- A user centric mindset with a passion for details, but also the ability to zoom out to a holistic product view and think pragmatically and strategically
- Experience with mobile interfaces (iOS, Android) and responsive web design and according software to design them (e.g. Figma)
- Strong UI design skills (typography, layout, interaction patterns, usability, accessibility, aesthetics)
- Experience with designing financial products is a plus
- Basic technical understanding of frontend tech and APIs is a plus
- Fluent in English, German at minimum B1 level
- Degree in any creative discipline (e.g. Interface Design, Communication Design, Interaction Design)
What the job involves
- You will join our B2C team made up of web, Android, and iOS developers, focused on building and improving a mobile banking app and onboarding experience for the ADAC project
- In this role, you will be the team’s dedicated product designer, collaborating closely with stakeholders across marketing, legal, and other departments to deliver a seamless and user-centered customer experience
- Take ownership, push for design excellence, drive the product design vision and help the company grow its design maturity and processes
- Continuously improve usability, accessibility and aesthetics of our existing products
- Work closely with product owners, internal and external stakeholders and tech teams
- Accompany the entire design and development process from feature/project kick-off to launch
- Stay up to date with latest FinTech and mobile banking design trends
Our take
There are many obstacles in place that prevent companies from offering their own financial services. Complex and high-cost processes mean that companies find it difficult to build their own banking systems or even apply for a banking license. This can stunt development as it reduces a company's growth and expansion options.
Solaris offers a Banking-as-a-Service platform that allows companies to seamlessly integrate financial services within their existing operations, removing traditional hurdles that companies would have to face. The company differs from the competition through the use of an API for optimal integration. It also holds a full German banking license, granting it an efficient position to deal with any red tape and complex processes, taking this strain away from companies.
Through moves such as its acquisition of MER, as well as many other collaborations, Solaris has paved the way for increased operations across Europe to now offer significant market coverage. In the long run, the company aims to be the core banking service across Europe and a foundational platform through which all companies integrate financial services into their ecosystem.
