Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- 5+ years of professional experience implementing scalable web solutions with a minimum of 1 year of Capital Markets industry experience
- You have a deep and strong understanding of React and Typescript
- You have an understanding of Capital Markets trading environments
- You are able to recognize and find solutions to performance issues
- You believe in and have experience with UI/UX testing. (unit and integration)
- You aim for operational excellence
- You obsess over the user experience

What the job involves
- As a seasoned Front-End Software Engineer, you’ll shape our flagship Middle-Office Platform - a modern, multi-broker/multi-prime solution that streamlines post-trade processing for both buy-side and sell-side clients
- You’ll tackle complex problems, weighing trade-offs to craft clean, performant code that delights users and elevates our engineering standards
- Your work will also drive our operational excellence, ensuring we meet (and exceed) expectations
- You will work with a team of talented, passionate and highly collaborative engineers

Clear Street is building up-to-date, cloud native infrastructure for capital markets, bringing clients faster and easier access to things like reporting, clearing, custody and execution.
It’s been quite a rise to prominence for the New York based startup, which surpassed a billion dollar valuation in 2022 despite only launching in 2018. However, given the previous industry experience of its founders, Clear Street's success should come as no surprise. The trio built the platform as a remedy to their own pain points, missed opportunities, and lack of access to key data in the prime brokerage space.
With its Unicorn status secured and its list of clients growing, Clear Street has been experiencing a period of rapid expansion, both geographically and across the financial services industry. It is also well-funded, which allows it to continue to pursue better infrastructure for capital markets into the future.
