Who you are
- A desire to work in a high visibility role in the businesses, interacting daily with a wide set of teams
- Can proactively and comfortably raise difficult issues, act as a point of escalation, balance competing needs and challenge team members
- Care deeply about relationships and have a proven ability to impact projects through leveraging relationships and are trusted to lead high-stakes initiatives
- Able to identify high-performing output and are able to help drive that
- Experience in a SaaS and/or B2B or B2C environments
- 4+ years to work post-graduation in a project management style role with a proven track record of managing programs and projects from inception to completion via a wide range of methodologies
- Deep understanding of technical processes, especially a familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Excellent collaborator and motivator, able to bring a team together to align and deliver on a common goal. Can build trust and partnerships with senior Engineering and Product leaders
- Deep understanding of leading and lagging indicators around delivery
- Ability to identify areas of improvement and craft and implement solutions
What the job involves
- As our first Technical Programme Manager, your mission will be to create the foundations for programme management in hx, having a natural aptitude for taking things from 0 to 1
- You obsessively focus on accelerating delivery, driving clarity in ambiguity. As we continue to grow a number of product and platform teams, cross-coordination will become critical for us to reach our ambitious goals
- As a Senior Technical Programme Manager, you will lead business-critical programs through all phases from planning to delivery. You will be responsible for the successful definition, cross-functional strategy, planning and execution of large-scale technical programs
- This high visibility role involves close collaboration with engineering, product management, design, sales, model development and leadership teams to ensure that projects are not only technically feasible but also strategically aligned with company goals
- Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget
- Partner with Revenue to ensure that cross-departmental dependencies are well understood and tracked, promoting seamless communication bi-directionally
- Partner with Engineering Managers, and product managers to define scope and timelines
- Own all related ceremonies in order to provide effective visibility to stakeholders, and anticipate and eliminate any potential risks
- Helping to shape and design our delivery management processes, ensuring that we have consistent ways of working
- Prepare and manage release plans, project plans or roadmaps based on project requirements
- Act as the key point of contact for internal teams and internal stakeholders, including engineering teams, product managers, and executive leadership, ensuring clear and timely communication
- Manage all elements of the end-to-end project process ensuring issues, risks and dependencies are managed appropriately
- A strong communicator with the ability to distil multiple streams of information, convey priorities and risks, and build a narrative for stakeholders
- Develop, define and report on program health and success metrics
- Visualise information for the team and the wider company to ensure transparency, even in less-than-perfect or complex circumstances
- Leverage data to drive strategic decisions and reporting at the leadership level
