Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience with modern JS web frameworks (React.js, Next.js, and Typescript)
- Proficient in frontend development with a strong understanding of SEO best practices, enabling optimization of web pages for improved search engine performance
- Experience collaborating closely with design teams to ensure seamless integration of design and functionality
- Familiarity with high-traffic platforms or fast-paced startups, demonstrating expertise in optimizing web pages for scalability and user experience
- Highly motivated to make positive societal impact
- Wear multiple hats and be a leader as our team grows
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- US work eligibility or visa
Desirable
- Strong open-source portfolio

What the job involves
- As a founding frontend engineer, you’ll build and ship responsible AI-powered products to millions of users
- You'll help expand our AI detection and verification platform and create new products
- We are looking for someone who works fast shipping new features and UIs, while collaborating closely with our world-class design team and working to optimize on-page SEO
- Ship intuitive, AI-powered web applications from scratch in React
- Improve our product-led conversion funnel using analytics, user discovery, and latest methods
- Collaborate on defining the product roadmap with our ML, design, and business teams
- Establish a deep understanding of our users by meeting with clients and power users from academia, marketing, publishing, and data labeling
- Design robust software with comprehensive test suites and monitoring
Our take
Since generative AI exploded onto the scene, it has been put to good use across a range of industries. Unfortunately, it has also been used to ramp up the production of subpar content which is misleading or completely incorrect. Not to mention it has helped proliferate academic fraud.
GPTZero is on a mission to help combat this AI epidemic, with a platform capable of identifying content written by AI tools such as ChatGPT. Its solutions can help teachers, students, writers, recruiters and more to build back the trust that has been broken by easy-to-access gen-AI.
The company's mission is certainly compelling, and investors agree, with GPTZero receiving impressive funding already. It will use the funds to support its roadmap which includes the development and launch of many new features such as an editor platform that records and cites AI usage.
