Cloud Automation Engineer, Anaplan

• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
• Basic understanding of automation tools such as Terraform
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and basic networking concepts
• Interest in working with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Experience with or willingness to learn about REST APIs and automation pipelines
• BSc degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience

• We are looking for a Cloud Automation Engineer to join our growing team at Anaplan UK as part of the Foundation Engineering team
• You'll be working in a global environment, supporting the development and maintenance of our hybrid multi-cloud infrastructure
• You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, learning best practices in cloud architecture, automation, and infrastructure management
• Support the design and implementation of scalable and secure infrastructure in a hybrid, multi-cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Assist in managing infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Docker
• Develop and maintain configuration code with a focus on reusability and scalability
• Participate in the automation of testing and deployment of infrastructure
• Collaborate with Platform Engineering and other teams to ensure infrastructure meets scalability and resilience requirements
• Learn and contribute to cloud architecture best practices
• Help identify opportunities to optimize cloud resource usage and improve efficiency
