Who you are
- We’re looking for an engineering manager with experience leading technical teams and running the SDLC for multiple teams
- Candidates should be data-driven, agile-friendly, and prepared to take on the challenges of supporting a high-growth startup
- 5+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years of experience in engineering management
- 5+ years of experience with AWS (or proven track record with competing cloud offering)
- Proficiency with agile development
- Proficient with Node.js and React
- Proficient in System Design and Microservice Architecture
- Proven track record of successfully management of engineering teams
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical
- Proven experience adopting new technologies while maintaining growth
What the job involves
- We’re looking for an engineering manager with experience leading technical teams and running the SDLC for multiple teams
- Participate in system design discussions, review system design and provide feedback
- Evaluate and update design principles and make sure they are adhered to
- Understand implications of adopting new technologies and provide support to leadership in new technology selection
- Facilitate effective communication within the engineering team
- Coordinate communication with other Engineering teams
- Present project updates to engineering leadership
- Independently resolve conflicts and maintain a culture of collaboration
- Ability to communicate company priorities and high level strategy to your engineering team
- Act as first source of escalation for issues for your direct reports
- Contribute in manager level discussions about team culture and organization
- Guide and mentor direct reports and set goals and expectations
- Identify and address skill development opportunities for the team
- Own team expansion and resource allocation within your team
- Manage team timelines and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with engineering processes and standards
- Collaborate with other teams for successful project execution

There is an inconsistency in dentistry on how dental issues are diagnosed. Traditional methods rely heavily on a dentist's judgement, making it hard to ensure truly accurate results. This can lead to incorrect or missed diagnoses, affecting patients' care and trust in dental professionals.
To tackle this, Pearl uses advanced AI technology that helps dentists read X-rays more accurately and consistently. Its AI tools provide real-time assistance by offering clear, data-driven insights for better diagnoses that can be communicated more effectively to patients.
Its technology is approved for use in over 120 countries and is recognized as one of TIME's best Inventions. Recent backing fuels Pearl's plans to further develop its AI tools and expand its impact worldwide. This funding will also help create more features like 3D disease detection.
