Who you are

We're looking for an experienced engineer who is passionate about building great products
Significant professional experience building, shipping, and maintaining complex web applications using TypeScript
Deep expertise in Node.js for backend development and a strong command of React for the frontend
A pragmatic approach to problem-solving and a high sense of ownership, feeling comfortable driving projects independently
Experience working in collaborative, agile product teams
Excellent communication skills in English

What the job involves

As a key member of our Engineering team, you won't just be writing code—you'll be solving complex problems and taking full ownership of features from concept to deployment
You will have a direct impact on a product used by thousands of construction professionals to build the world around us
In your first few months, you might:
Design and build new AI features, such as our recently launched AI agent for editing BoQs or automated AI bidder recommendations
Collaborate with product managers and designers to shape the user experience and technical direction of our core product
Architect and implement modular packages and services in our monorepo to improve the structure and maintainability of our codebase

Our take

Cosuno predicts that traditional methods of bidding and awarding construction services are obsolete, associated with significant wasted time and a lack of transparency. The startup aims to solve this problem by developing a B2B marketplace that provides project managers access to a database of around 80,000 subcontractors related to the construction industry.

Consuno's business model involves charging clients a monthly fee for access to their Software-as-a-Service product. Clients advertise their projects on the platform, receive applications from contractors in the area and approve the bids from the applicant selected. By 2021, over €1bn were processed in transactions through the platform since its conception.

The construction industry is currently experiencing rapid growth, leading to a scarce labor force and increased prices. Cosuno aims to capitalize on this opportunity by digitizing the construction industry and providing project managers with a one-stop shop that allows them to manage everything related to working with construction subcontractors on just one platform.
