Who you are

  • The ideal candidate is also experienced in collaborating with Sales, SDRS, and Account Management to meet revenue-based goals through integrated tactics
  • Experience: 3-5 years in demand generation with a focus on acquiring new B2B customers. Experience with marketing to complex buying groups is essential
  • Skills: Strong proficiency in email marketing, ABM tools, Salesforce, and Marketo
  • Campaign Success: Demonstrated success in creating and executing impactful marketing campaigns for targeted audiences
  • Analytical: Strong data-driven approach with a proven ability to leverage data for campaign optimization. Experience with analytic tools is a plus
  • Strategic & Hands-On: Adept at both strategic planning and hands-on execution of marketing initiatives
  • Proactive: Self-motivated with excellent multitasking and prioritization skills. Capable of managing multiple stakeholders effectively and thriving in collaborative settings
  • Fluent spoken and written English is a requirement
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10%+

What the job involves

  • We are seeking a data-driven and proactive Demand Generation Manager to drive impactful acquisition strategies for our Platforms business line
  • This role will work from our San Francisco office and report directly to our Digital and Platforms Marketings Team Lead
  • As a Demand Generation Manager at Adyen, you will be instrumental in crafting and executing data-driven marketing campaigns that generate high-quality sales opportunities for one of our key business lines, Platforms
  • You’ll work closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to develop and implement strategies that drive engagement and conversion across multiple channels
  • This is a matrixed role collaborating across the US, Canada, and Global Marketing teams
  • Strategic Execution: Collaborate with local and global acquisition marketing teams to design and execute strategies that generate sales-qualified opportunities
  • Campaign Management: Plan, set up, and optimize demand generation campaigns, including 1:many account-based marketing, utilizing channels such as paid social, trade publications, display ads, content syndication, and email marketing
  • Annual Planning: Contribute to the annual marketing plan, integrating digital tactics with in-person initiatives, and working closely with event marketing, product marketing, and the Senior Demand Generation Manager
  • Account Segmentation: Segment account lists based on market priorities in partnership with Sales and SDRs
  • Content Development: Collaborate with the Studio and Commercial teams to develop and optimize compelling messages and creative content tailored to prioritized accounts
  • Landing Pages: Plan, build, and optimize landing pages to maximize sales-qualified opportunities
  • Project Management: Oversee acquisition projects, including creating content briefs for white papers, webinars, and infographics, while coordinating with internal and external agencies
  • Agency Management: Regularly collaborate with digital and other external marketing agencies in the management and optimization of marketing campaigns and other programs
  • Nurture Programs: Work with the global marketing team to develop and refine nurture programs that advance leads through the sales funnel
  • Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to assess campaign effectiveness, regularly report on performance, and proactively suggest and implement new demand generation programs to address performance gaps

Adyen competes with large players like PayPal, as well as outsized startups like Stripe, to power payments and provide other infrastructure to conduct digital transactions. Disrupters in the field have been buoyed by a strong rise in eCommerce activity, where some or all of a transaction by a customer is made either online or by mobile.

Adyen has been one of the companies riding the wave by helping to reduce the friction between a company choosing to take payments online, and actually being able to do it. That can take multiple steps and agreements across numerous countries — Adyen’s pitch is that it essentially handles all of it in the backend as a service for its users. Notable partners have included Autocanteen, a touchless self-checkout solution for the hospitality industry, and BILL, a small business-focused fintech platform.
