Who you are

  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience in outbound sales, preferably in software sales
  • Fluency in English and German is a must
  • Track record of achieving sales quota and generating new opportunities
  • Technical experience in the SaaS field (especially CMS) is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Experience with outbound sales tactics and sales tech stack

What the job involves

  • The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a key role in helping Storyblok meet its growth goals and is part of the Sales organization
  • The BDR is the first point of contact for potential enterprise customers and is responsible for generating qualified pipeline by engaging prospects via multi-channel through the inbound and outbound channel
  • The BDR engages with and qualifies incoming leads sourced by the Marketing team
  • The BDR is also responsible for identifying prospects within potential enterprise customer accounts that could benefit from Storyblok, contacting senior decision makers within such organizations, and engaging them to convey our product’s value
  • By educating ICPs on the problems Storyblok can solve, the main objective is to convert prospects into sales opportunities, grow a pipeline of potential business, and build rapport with senior stakeholders to develop great relationships between Storyblok and new customers
  • Identify, generate, and qualify leads and prospects through inbound and outbound channel
  • Conduct high volume prospecting and engage with prospects through phone calls, emails and social media to generate quality opportunities for our Account Executives
  • Attend marketing events and conferences; network and build rapport with prospects
  • Nurture long term relationships with prospects; help mid-market and large enterprise companies realize the potential of our product
  • Develop new ideas and strategies for identifying and winning potential new customers
  • Work closely with Account Executive, align on pipeline generating strategies
  • Consistently exceed monthly and quarterly sales KPIs

Our take

A headless content management system (CMS) consists of a back-end that stores the content and a decoupled front-end display. This lets the content be streamed to any platform including apps, wearable devices or digital displays via an API. Compared to the other headless CMS solutions, Storyblok’s CMS provides highly customisable content blocks and visual editing tools. This gives developers the flexibility to build fast and reliable digital platforms. It is the first headless CMS to integrate such features into a modern headless architecture.

The company counts Pizza Hut, Adidas, UPC, Greggs and Decathlon amongst clients, alongside many thousands of solo developers that use their CMS. These are powering more than 74,000 projects across 130 countries.

Storyblok intends to use its new funding to expand its presence in the USA after its previous round accelerated expansion in key European markets including Germany and Ireland.
