Who you are

Proven experience as a Data Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced / startup environment
Strong proficiency in SQL with the ability to write complex queries
Experience with Looker, LookML, and Google Sheets, with the ability to create and modify reports and dashboards
Familiarity with Google BigQuery (GBQ) and data modelling concepts
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment and balancing short-term delivery with long-term goals
Knowledge of data governance best practices and experience implementing data policies and procedures
Experience in the media or advertising industry is a plus

What the job involves

This role is initially for 3 months
We are seeking a skilled Data Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at native.
The role will focus on supporting key initiatives by creating reports and dashboards in Looker and Google Sheets.
The ideal candidate will possess strong generalist SQL skills, with familiarity in LookML and GoogleSQL dialect, and experience working with Google BigQuery (GBQ)
Collaborate with the Chief of Staff and functional leaders to gather requirements and understand business needs
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards in Looker and Google Sheets to provide insights into sales enablement and supply-side management
Contribute to data governance initiatives, including the rollout of a "Clean Data" policy covering stewardship, quality monitoring, lineage, compliance, and change control
Work closely with executive and leadership teams to identify data-driven opportunities and support decision-making processes
Assist in the establishment of data principles, practices, and operational policies to ensure the effectiveness of the data function
Analyse and troubleshoot data quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing solutions
Support the integration of data from various sources and ensure accuracy and consistency across the business
