Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3-5 years experience with AWS cloud services
- Strong background in distributed systems design
- Experience with message brokers and pub/sub systems
- Expertise in security architecture and implementation
- Background in authentication systems and PKI
- Proficiency in Python and infrastructure as code
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
Desirable
- Experience with AWS IoT Core, MQTT, or similar IoT platforms
- Knowledge of Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other message queuing systems
- AWS Professional certifications
- Background in real-time data processing
- Experience with high-availability system design
- Understanding of network security principles
- Familiarity with WebSocket and gRPC protocols
What the job involves
- Xona is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our secure data distribution platform
- You'll architect solutions for delivering real-time data to our global customer base while maintaining the highest standards of security and scalability
- Design and implement secure data distribution architectures on AWS
- Evaluate and implement messaging solutions (e.g. , AWS IoT Core, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQTT brokers)
- Create robust authentication and authorization systems for our device fleet
- Develop scalable real-time data delivery solutions
- Design automated certificate and key management systems
- Build monitoring and alerting infrastructure
- Create automated deployment pipelines using IaC
- Lead incident response for system issues
- Architect solutions for efficient real-time data processing
- Maintain system documentation and technical specifications
