- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Practical experience in data analysis, statistics, and experimentation
- Proficient in SQL, Python, R, Scala, or an equivalent language
What the job involves
- We’re seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team and work on the Engineering Platform. The person in this role will meld their skills in data analytics with platform optimization, playing a crucial role in amplifying the power, efficiency, and reliability of our core platform services
- They will harness the potential of data to guide the evolution of our platform, ensuring it meets the dynamic needs of our product and end users
- Platform Analysis & Enhancement: Dive deep into platform metrics, logs, and traces to uncover insights into system performance, scalability, and reliability. Develop and refine algorithms and models that enhance platform functionality and efficiency
- Collaboration & Integration: Work closely with platform engineers to implement data-driven solutions and ensure platform optimizations align with product needs and user demands
- Predictive Analytics: Design and deploy predictive models that forecast platform loads, anticipate potential bottlenecks, and offer proactive solutions
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Contribute to the strategic direction of the platform's evolution by presenting data-based findings, recommendations, and insights to key stakeholders
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science and platform engineering, bringing innovation to the team's methodologies and tools

- Take on a broad scope of work and an evolving role in a rapidly growing company
- Solve ambiguous product problems with current data science approaches
- Conduct deep-dive analyses of user behavior
- Quantitatively study large user segments
- Develop user segment targeting strategy
- Drive direction on the Core Product teams

Paid tiers give users more tools beyond grammar and spelling checks, including things like word choice, sentence rewrites, tone adjustments, fluency, and formality level.
The company has been profitable since the beginning and now has a valuation of more than $13 billion, placing it among the 10 most valuable startups in the US. The AI writing assistant space is heating up, and Grammarly is hoping to defend its position against offerings including Scalenut, Ginger and Microsoft's Editor by the release of its SDK, making it far easier to integrate Grammarly into other applications. So far, this has been used in over 4,000 products and earned excellent ratings and increased user numbers of Grammarly's service.
