• Rakuten Kobo Inc. is looking for a Data Engineer Co-op to join our Big Data Team for 8-12 months starting Summer 2026 in Toronto! The team is comprised of many highly talented enthusiastic individuals who ensure the services and offerings from Kobo are available to both internal and external customers. This position reports to our Manager, Tolino Business Intelligence
• Design, build, and document efficient ETL/ELT data pipelines and models
• Write and optimize SQL and Python for large-scale datasets
• Visualize data and deliver BI dashboards/reports using our BI tools (e.g., Domo, Tableau) for internal and external partners
• Prepare and ingest data into Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
