Who you are
- The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering a culture of engineering excellence and innovation, unafraid to roll up their sleeves with engineers with a proven track record of delivering results
- 4+ years experience in a Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or any other customer-facing engineering role
- Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages
- Experience with long-term project planning and execution
- Experience with Ecommerce technologies and data models
- Thorough understanding of JSON, HTML, REST API, and Webhook technologies
- Thorough understanding of the following concepts: integrating UX elements w/ backend services, frameworks, and 3rd party developer APIs
- Experience with observability tools and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong project management skills, capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders to stay on schedule
- Passion and drive to change consumer banking for the better
What the job involves
- In this role as a Senior Partner Solutions Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership across Commercial and Product Partnership teams, supporting large cross-functional programs
- You will represent Affirm’s engineering team and technologies to partners, such as Adyen and Google Pay, while helping drive technical + business strategy
- This role entails operational support for ad hoc partner requests, collaborating with engineering teams on solution design, and managing the execution of long-term initiatives
- Provide day to day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders
- Lead the development of project plans by driving solution designs, timeline forecasting, task break-down, and testing strategy
- Develop integration support material and documentation for new products rollouts and feature updates
- Collaborate with Product + Eng leadership to build out partnership roadmaps
- Serves as an overarching SME and point of escalation for internal and external teams facing technical challenges
- Maintain clear, professional, and proactive communication with external partners to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables, while fostering strong, long-term relationships
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless coordination, share insights, and drive projects to successful completion while maintaining open and constructive communication
- Provide feedback on integration strategy, potential product enhancements, and operational workflows
