Role
Who you are
- The successful candidate will be a senior technology leader who is comfortable in the greenfield space and looks forward to the challenge of innovating a scalable platform solution that is flexible enough to accommodate a variety of clients and partners
- B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar technical field of study (or equivalent practical experience)
- Extensive software engineering experience
- Proficient in Node.js and modern frontend frameworks
- Proficient in backend development, specifically with Python or Java
- Experience with databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures
- A strong ownership mentality and drive to solve the most important problems
- Passion for implementing standard processes with a bias toward smart automation
- Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers
- Experience in data processing and analysis using SQL, PySpark, or similar frameworks is a plus
- A rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Visualization team within our Core Product Engineering organization
- Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems; write well-designed, testable code
- Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solutions
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers and partners on projects
- Communicate technical ideas and set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges
- Mentor other engineers on the team
- Participate in the design and development of a strategic product for Addepar
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that's also scalable and extensible

Investment advisers require speed, clarity and flexibility when managing client portfolios. Addepar is a wealth management software platform created with these requirements in mind. The platform aggregates portfolio, market, and client data in one place, allowing financial professionals to analyze and visualize the data they need.
Addepar currently tracks more than $4 trillion of assets with circa 800 clients including individual advisers, family offices, and large institutions such as AllianceBernstein, Bartlett Wealth Management, and Morgan Stanley.
The multi-unicorn company has been pursuing global expansion, opening its first office outside of the United States in Scotland in 2021 and a new London office in late 2022 and appointing new leadership members from the likes of Oracle and Amazon Web Services. Addepar is certainly gaining momentum as it expands operations and further innovates its suite of solutions.
