Role
Who you are
- 4+ years product management experience, with significant exposure to user-facing tools or applications
- Highly autonomous and thrives in taking ownership of complex, un-scoped problems
- A relentless learner with a proven track record of diving deep into large, complex domains and becoming the go-to expert
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly articulate vision and drive execution across teams and stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills, using data to guide product intuition and decisions
- Bonus points for experience or a degree in software engineering or data science, building healthcare consumer products, and/or managing and building large-scale data systems
- A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead our Engagement team within our Growth Area
- The Engagement team is responsible for maximizing user engagement of Garner by making Garner a useful, easy to understand, and personalized tool for members to manage their and their families’ healthcare
- You’ll be given wide-ranging responsibility to build and shape our member application, focusing on making Garner the one stop shop to find and manage healthcare
- Lead projects such as personalizing the app for families and dependents, developing our notification and member outreach infrastructure
- Define and develop the engagement roadmap, partnering with Growth Marketing, new products and features, as well as internal services and data products
- Drive new feature development from start to finish: from ideation to solution design, development, launch and iteration
- Define what success looks like, ensure we have the data in place to measure progress, and rally the team around what winning looks like
Our take
An overworked US healthcare system has resulted in long waits and expensive prices, meaning that patients can't access the care that they need. Garner Health creates digital services that allow patients to find a medical expert that fits their specific needs, whatever their insurance circumstances are.
The startup provides an app that analyses local health-insurance claims history through AI. This data is used to recommend local medical professionals that will work with a patient's circumstances whilst providing direct communication channels for liaising. This helps patients to identify the highest-quality doctors and helps doctors improve how they practice medicine.
Despite other companies providing similar bespoke healthcare services, Garner Health shows a cutting edge by partnering with patient employers. This provides the financial incentive that employers must cover all or a portion of medical expenses, making healthcare financially accessible for all involved. The company has good funding at its back, and back in 2022 partnered with Marathon Health towards reducing the inefficiencies of specialty referrals.
