- We’re looking for curious, motivated engineers who are excited to learn, grow, and make an impact in the future of application-layer and GenAI products
- This role is ideal for new graduates who want to work across the stack and build category-defining products
- BS in Computer Science or related degree, graduation Spring 2025 - Fall 2025
- Applicants must currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to commute to our San Francisco office. Relocation is not available for this role
- Strong programming fundamentals in one or more languages
- Experience from previous software engineering internships
- Interest in building highly intuitive, product-focused software

What the job involves
- As a Software Engineer on the Product Engineering team at Harvey, you’ll contribute to engineering projects across our product lines
- You’ll work closely with our AI, Legal, and GTM teams to help build secure, intuitive systems that deliver real value to our customers
- Build features that enable retrieval over peta-byte scale document collections
- Design intuitive interfaces for collaboration with AI systems
- Contribute to systems that manage dedicated GPU capacity across regions
- Support intelligent agents that help enterprises with complex planning tasks
- Develop secure infrastructure for sensitive customer data and workflows
- Experiment with and evaluating cutting-edge LLMs across diverse task categories
Our take
The explosive popularity of generative AI tools has seen specialized solutions popping up for all kinds of industries. Hoping to help supercharge efficiency and productivity for legal teams, Harvey supplies Gen AI that can assist with documentation, as well as aid research and optimize workflows.
Via natural language instructions, Harvey helps draft and analyze legal documents. It can also answer complex questions across large document sets, or even handle research queries that cover multiple domains in legal, regulatory and tax.
Its ability to support legal practitioners as if it's another member of the team is what makes Harvey particularly interesting. This approach has seen the company raise substantial funding, reaching Unicorn status in 2024. Funds will be used to expand to new geographies, grow headcount and further collect and curate data to train more “domain-specific” AI models.
