Who you are
- Fluent level in English
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or related field preferred
- 2-4 years of experience as Accounting Specialist or similar role (Auditor, consultant, finance system analyst)
- Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (specially Microsoft Excel)
- Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation (Spanish GAAP, UK GAAP is a plus)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering financial data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proactive and team player
What the job involves
- We are looking for an energetic and detailed oriented Accounting Specialist to support our amazing Finance team in the day to day tasks and undertake everything related to General Accounting, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, etc
- This role will report directly to the Accounting Manager
- Maintaining accurate and complete records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, and information related to all accounts
- Assisting the accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, including preparing taxes, and assisting with audits and resolving discrepancies
- Responsible for the daily bank statements reconciliation and give support in other accounts reconciliations
- Helping with the Invoicing process: issue, review and send the invoices to the clients, create sales order, manage direct debit and attend customer requests
- Manage to automatize processes and tools with internal and external support to ensure the elimination/reduction of manual tasks and the optimization of internal procedures
- Communicate with colleagues from different departments and with other third parties to discuss necessary matters
- Assist in any other task required by the Accounting Team

Back in 2015, Kantox won the European Fintech Of The Year Award, thanks in part to its Dynamic Hedging software which manages hedging analytics, workflow, and reporting. In October 2022, investment bank BNP Paribas acquired Kantox for 120 million euros after three years of investment in the company - a shift in ownership that should bolster Kantox as markets continue to be turbulent.
