Many people feel that their lack of cooking skills inhibits them from inviting family or friends over. Yhangry aims to solve this by allowing clients to instantly book a professional chef to cook for them at home.
The company differentiates itself through the professionalism of the chefs, who are recruited according to strict criteria including cooking skills, hygiene, experience and communication. As an incentive to chefs, the company offers earnings of up to 3x more than working at a restaurant.
Yhangry has already catered for over 60,000 diners and its current priority is to develop other services, such as virtual cooking classes, Tablescapes, corporate offers, BBQ's and brunch. Backed by Y Combinator and having featured on the UK's Dragon's Den, Yhangry is expanding out into the US.
