Role
Who you are
- 6–10 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or investment banking, with experience in a startup or high-growth operating environment
- Proven experience in financial modeling, including three-statement models, scenario analysis, and driver-based forecasting
- Strong business partnering skills; able to influence senior stakeholders and synthesize complex financial insights into clear recommendations
- Hands-on operator with a track record of building and improving FP&A systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to translate financials for non-financial leaders
- Comfort with SaaS, print, and services revenue models is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree, MBA is a plus
What the job involves
- Kiddom is seeking a hands-on Director of FP&A & Strategic Finance to strengthen our financial planning function and elevate business decision-making across the company
- This role will lead business partnering, working closely with GTM, PDE (Product, Design, Engineering), and other departments, while also building scalable FP&A systems and processes to support Kiddom’s next stage of growth
- We’re looking for someone who combines strong strategic finance instincts with the ability to model, analyze, and operationalize insights
- This is a highly visible role that reports directly to the VP of Finance and will partner closely with the executive team
- Serve as a trusted advisor to GTM, PDE, Content, and Operations leaders, translating operational drivers into financial plans and actionable insights
- Lead forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning processes across functional teams; challenge assumptions and identify improvement levers
- Develop and track KPIs that connect operational performance to company-level results
- Partner with leaders to evaluate new markets, products, and state adoptions; develop ROI analyses and scenario models that inform investment decisions
- Design and implement scalable FP&A systems, tools, and automation
- Establish a unified “source of truth” for financial and operational data by collaborating with Accounting, RevOps, and Data teams
- Drive monthly and quarterly forecasting cadence; lead post-close variance reviews and synthesize insights for leadership
- Build management and board reporting packages that communicate performance clearly and visually
- Partner with the VP of Finance on the annual operating plan, 3-year financial model, and capital allocation frameworks
- Collaborate with Accounting to support cash forecasting, debt compliance, and financial policy development
- Support fundraising and investor communications by contributing analysis, scenarios, and strategic narratives
- Lead or contribute to special projects (e.g., pricing analysis, M&A diligence, margin optimization, etc.)
Our take
Digital education has become an increasing reality in recent years. Whilst services such as Zoom have provided platforms for remote teaching, the minimal functionality of such services has outlined the lack of digital engagement tools that classrooms require.
Kiddom develops a collaborative learning platform for K-12 schooling, with integrated solutions for remote teaching, in-person school and homework assignments. The platform allows teachers to assign tasks and to collaborate with students on them, whilst the software gathers data to provide insights on student engagement and performance.
The startup currently provides its services to individual teachers for free, but solutions for inter-institutional curriculums come at an annual subscription fee. Kiddom’s approach aims to fill the gap between remote and in-school teaching, at the same time as integrating student analytics to optimize and personalize the way students are educated.
