Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with excellent technical problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
- 10+ years in sales engineering or solutions engineering roles, preferably in Security or SaaS companies
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity trends and technologies
- Excellent presentation, demo, and communication skills
- Experience providing pre- and post-sales technical support, creating strategic relationships with key stakeholders, and delivering customer training
- Ability to engage with internal teams (Sales, Security Operations, Product Management) and customers to ensure success criteria are met
What the job involves
- We are seeking a Head of Solutions Engineering to join the Stairwell team
- This person will serve as the primary technical leader, driving the success of our customers through innovative security solutions
- Lead and mentor the solutions engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
- Build out playbooks for successful customer engagements
- Present and demonstrate our technical value to prospects, and oversee the onboarding of new customers to the Stairwell platform
- Engage deeply with product teams, providing near real-time customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base, capturing new learning for reuse throughout the company and user base
- Participate in technical communications within the team to share best practices and learn about new technologies and complementary security applications
- Map identified customer business requirements to workable solution architectures
- Ensure the success of customer deployments and integrations, advocating for customer needs and resolving issues promptly
- Focus on maintaining and growing customer relationships, ensuring value delivery, and minimizing churn

Stairwell provides a threat detection and cybersecurity platform that focuses on treating all files as suspicious, pre-preserving all information within a cybersecurity environment as evidence to provide a comprehensive history of cybersecurity health. This platform uses this data to reveal past intrusions, provide an all-in-one cybersecurity dashboard, personalize security stacks, and rapidly reduce threat detection time.
Whilst the company faces significant competition within the saturated cybersecurity market, it stands out with its ability to preserve all activity and information. Through this method, the company can ensure that the insights produced are comprehensive, contextual, and bespoke. Stairwell has seen consistent funding over the years, testament to the success of its offering. Investment acquired in 2022 will fund team expansion, including the hiring of specialized engineers to increase functionality.
