Who you are

  • Experience in Product and Design Leadership: 7+ years in product management or product-led growth roles, with at least 4 years managing cross-functional product and growth teams. Proven track record in a scaling B2B SaaS or FinTech, driving revenue and customer engagement through scalable product and growth initiatives
  • Data-Driven & Experimentation Expertise: Strong quantitative skills, including proficiency in tools like SQL, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and product analytics dashboards. Hands-on experience designing and interpreting A/B tests, growth experiments, and customer segmentation strategies
  • Customer-Centric Product Development: Deep understanding of customer mental models, habit formation, and experience design principles (e.g., BJ Fogg’s Behavior Model, Hooked Framework). Expertise in simplifying user flows, removing friction, and enhancing user motivation through product features and personalized experiences
  • Business & Market Strategy Expertise: Ability to define value propositions, assess market opportunities, and build product roadmaps aligned with company goals. Familiarity with monetization models, unit economics, and customer lifecycle management
  • Collaborative Leadership: Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, building trust across teams, and aligning efforts toward common goals. Experience coaching teams and enabling them to scale processes and best practices

Desirable

  • Experience in FinTech or a strong interest in financial services for small businesses
  • Background in Small Business or familiarity with the unique challenges faced by small business owners
  • Product-Led Growth Experience in subscription models, with a strong grasp of growth tactics

  • Data-Driven Product & Growth Decisions: Lead product experimentation (e.g., A/B tests, feature toggling) and track business-impact metrics such as acquisition, retention, and revenue. Use product analytics and data science to inform product decisions, optimizing every stage of the customer journey
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, engineering, and customer success teams to drive alignment and streamline product delivery. Manage inter-team dependencies while ensuring high-quality, scalable feature releases
  • Team Development & Leadership: Hire, mentor, and grow high-performing product, growth, and design teams. Build a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and process improvement
  • Quarterly Outcome Planning: Drive quarterly outcome-driven planning, guiding cross-functional teams to set clear goals and achieve impactful results

Our take

NorthOne is an API enabled mobile banking platform targeted at small business owners, startups and freelancers who don’t have the capacity or business infrastructure to effectively manage their finances.

In exchange for a monthly fee, account holders get unlimited free transactions, invoicing tools, as well as connectivity with a range of popular business apps including PayPal, FreshBooks, Etsy, and Square. There are also no non-sufficient funds or overdraft fees, a penalty which costs US bankers millions per year.

Mobile financial services are expected to be worth $60B by 2025, and competition for a slice of the pie is fierce. Big banks, as well as other startups like Azlo and Bank Novo all stand beside NorthOne in targeting the growing SME market. However, with substantial funding at its back, the company has set its sights on becoming the go-to digital banking solution for small businesses.
