Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and closing new business opportunities, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base
- This is an opportunity for those who are passionate about empowering companies through cutting-edge search technology and analytics, enabling them to unlock the full potential of their data
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a full-cycle sales role, preferably in the technology or software industry
- Consistent track record of quota overachievement and strong customer references
- Strong prospecting and lead generation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities with a proven track record of negotiation and closing
- Adept at building relationships and establishing credibility with both developers and executives
- Consistent and accurate sales forecasting skills using SFDC
- Enthusiasm for the Open Source model and a deep appreciation for the community relying on our solutions
- Located within the Rockies territory preferred

What the job involves
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through various channels including cold calling, networking, and industry events
- Maintain a robust sales pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and progression of leads through the sales cycle while successfully navigating a complex sales cycle
- Develop a comprehensive business plan leveraging community, customer, and partner ecosystems to drive significant growth within your territory
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor, assisting users and customers in harnessing the full power of Elastic's search analytics to transform their data into actionable insights
- Identify and develop new use cases, showcasing how Elastic’s solutions enable users to work more efficiently and intelligently
- Collaborate closely with various Elastic business functions to align sales strategies and ensure an exceptional customer experience
