Who you are
- Proven Experience: 5+ years of brand design experience with a proven track record at leading companies or agencies
- Strong Portfolio: A portfolio that demonstrates innovative brand work, strong conceptual thinking, and excellence in typography, illustration, and visual design

What the job involves
- This is a unique opportunity to be the first brand hire at Vannevar, reporting directly to our Head of Design
- As our Senior Brand Designer, you will have the creative freedom and responsibility to define and develop Vannevar Labs' brand identity
- You will create and implement brand guidelines that influence every aspect of our company, from marketing materials to product interfaces
- Collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, product teams, and leadership, you will ensure a cohesive and compelling brand presence across all platforms
- Lead Brand Strategy: Define and drive the overall brand strategy in alignment with company goals and mission
- Develop and Own Brand Guidelines: Establish and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that set the standard for our visual and verbal identity
- Create Compelling Visual Content: Design internal and external assets, including presentations, illustrations, digital content, and print materials
- Elevate Online Presence: Oversee the design and continuous improvement of our marketing website and digital platforms
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with marketing, product, and executive teams to ensure brand consistency and integration
- Shape Product Visual Identity: Partner with product designers to weave our brand identity seamlessly into the user experience
- Innovate and Inspire: Stay ahead of industry trends and bring fresh ideas to keep our brand at the forefront of design innovation
- Design Company Swag: Create branded merchandise that resonates with our team and audience
Our take
As intelligence analysts work to solve rapidly evolving and increasingly challenging national security problems, modern technology is vital in achieving optimal results as there is no room for failure. Vannevar Labs’ innovative foreign text platform, delivers solutions to some of today’s most important national security problems.
The company’s workflow platform Decrypt, uses machine learning and automation to understand, target, and respond to foreign actors in ways not previously possible. The platform is a proven success, driving Vannevar’s growth and attracting a $40M OTA contract with the Department of Defense.
Yielding impressive traction so far, the company is using its latest Series B funding round to invest in new product development. Vannevar Labs is also aiming to win its first multi-year program from Decrypt. Should it be successful, the level of guaranteed sales and revenue would be a turning point in the company’s long-term trajectory.
