Who you are
- You have experience writing content that is SEO optimised and goes above and beyond to deliver exceptional results
- You enjoy writing copy for a range of content types, including commercial pages, articles, landing pages, in-depth guides and outreach campaigns
- You care about writing content that’s rigorously researched, resonates with your audience and helps them to solve real-world problems
- You enjoy collaborating with experts, internal and external, to ensure your content is accurate and truthful
- You’re excited by the potential of AI to help you publish more content, faster and at scale, without compromising on quality
- You have a ruthless focus on using data & insights to improve your work
- You are positive, proactive, and open-minded

- 2+ years of experience in a similar SEO or content focused role
- A track record of producing SEO content that drives traffic and acquires backlinks
- A solid understanding of the latest SEO content best practices and tooling
- Experience writing content for a B2C audience, ideally in the education sector
- Impeccable spelling and grammar, with a high attention to detail
What the job involves
- Over the next 12 months, you’ll:
- Create SEO optimised editorial content for our student and teacher audience, including articles, glossaries and in-depth guides
- Write on-site copy to drive relevant organic traffic to our revision resources
- Produce content for a range of SEO tests and experiments, and support our Acquisition Squad with copy for programmatic SEO projects and product features
- Use AI and automation to publish content at scale, whilst maintaining high quality standards
- Outreach content to newspapers, magazines, websites and bloggers to acquire relevant, high-quality backlinks
- Perform keyword research and SERP analysis, using SEO tools like Ahrefs, to ensure all content is informed by data-driven insights
- Collaborate with internal experts to ensure SEO content is both optimised for search engines and pedagogically accurate
- Our general working hours are 9-6pm, however we have a company-wide principle around Core Hours, which is 10-4pm and you can work at times that suit you and your team

Our take
Save My Exams is an online platform for students, offering a range of revision and learning materials to help them improve their grades. Focusing specifically on end-of-stage exams, the platform offers GCSE and A-Level resources created by a team of subject experts. The platform was founded by veteran private tutor Jamie Undrell in 2017 after he experienced first-hand the lack of online revision materials for students whilst running his own agency.
Save My Exams supports over 25,000 students in over 150 countries, who can access past papers and revision notes for free or pay a monthly subscription fee in exchange for further access to questions, model answers and videos. It competes with online tools like GetRevising (part of The Student Room forum) and StudyWise, as well as legacy publishers like CGP, for a slice of the billion-pound EdTech industry.
On the back of its success and growth, the company is looking to take its technical product to the next level, firstly by growing its development team and launching new features.
