Who you are
- Solid experience of 2LoD monitoring and testing within the financial services industry
- You’ll have a proven background in AML & Fraud risk in a 2nd line capacity and enjoy working in a collaborative and team environment
- You will have a good understanding of FCA expectations and the regulatory compliance landscape for payments and investment firms in the UK
- You will work well within a team and be adept at handling competing priorities with excellent time management, communication and organisation skills
- Good analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to present information in a clear and concise manner
- Building, managing and monitoring controls and MI reports, raising awareness and adherence across the business
- Strong report writing and people management skills

What the job involves
- Reporting to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer (MLRO)
- Ensure that Chip’s financial crime framework, policies and procedures are effective and embedded to ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements as well as best practice across Chip’s savings and investments products
- Proactively identify financial crime risks across all FinCrime risk areas to include Sanctions and Fraud risk
- Develop and execute our Financial Crime compliance monitoring and testing plan, working with key stakeholders to identify and test key controls to evaluate compliance with Financial Crime rules and regulations
- Effectively create and communicate solutions to address control or process gaps, as well as tracking these through to completion
- Collaborate well with internal stakeholders, such as Financial Crime Operations, Compliance, Product and Customer Support teams to provide 2LoD assurance and advice to help strengthen Chip’s approach to managing AML and Fraud risks across all business lines
- Adapt focus depending on the regulatory agenda, growth plans and compliance needs. Develop a strong understanding of Chip’s current and future product offerings
- Build a strong relationship with Financial Crime Compliance counterparts in partner or vendor organisations such as ClearBank, Seccl, Onfido and any future key vendors
- Work with Data Teams to produce management information and high quality reports to senior management and the Board to provide a clear overview of Chip’s financial crime position
- Act as Deputy MLRO, supporting the MLRO in signing off or submitting SARs and deputising for the MLRO when they are unavailable
- Take on line management of the Financial Crime Analyst and support with other financial crime compliance projects and tasks as directed by the MLRO
- Although we’re in the financial space, and under the scrutiny that comes with it, the current compliance/risk team works well together, and even sometimes with a smile
- Monday to Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Start your weekend early!)
