Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of experience developing with React
- Experience working with forms (React-hook-form is a plus)
- 4+ years of professional programming experience
- Strong expertise in TypeScript, with robust practical experience
- Familiarity with design patterns and application architecture
- Proven ability to work effectively with large and diverse technology teams
- Hands-on experience building applications from scratch
- Strong analytical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new technologies
What the job involves
- Design and implement key front-end features and services for the Tabby B2B platform using React
- Ensure web operations run smoothly and meet non-functional system requirements (e.g., performance, scalability, security)
- Participate in developing the best technical designs and approaches for new products or technologies
- Own the delivery and post-delivery support of selected applications, contributing as needed to midsize to large, complex projects
- Stay updated with and help the team adopt the latest trends in front-end development
- Collaborate with team members to devise innovative solutions
- Work closely with designers to convert mockups and designs into robust React-based systems
- Ensure adherence to the software development process, following industry best practices
- Integrate with and work on both external and internal APIs

Our take
Buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) purchases have been rising in popularity for years, with a number of companies springing up to facilitate split-payment shopping. Tabby is one such company, offering Shariah-compliant buy-now-pay-later options through its mobile app, meaning consumers can shop at a range of stores and split their purchase between four interest-free payments.
For stores, using Tabby means offering their customers more flexible payment options, no matter the purchase channel, which can positively affect store loyalty and boost repeat purchases. They also gain access to the hundreds of thousands of shoppers already using the app, as Tabby runs co-marketing campaigns with its retail partners.
Managing upwards of $6 billion in transaction volume annually, and boasting the likes of Shein, Ikea and Adidas amongst its clientele, it is clear that Tabby is doing something right. It has secured a substantial funding round ahead of a planned IPO, and plans to invest in continued expansion of its financial services and shopping products.
