Finance Manager, reboxed

• You’ll be reporting to our senior team with two direct reports, initially, our COO and CFO, you'll play a pivotal role in motivating the team to achieve key objectives for the business
• You will partner closely with teams across the business to educate on performance, risks & opportunities
• As an ACA or CIMA qualified accountant, you'll bring a technical driven approach to accounting and have deep experience of leveraging innovation, your inquisition and proactivity to shape the future of Finance at Reboxed
• You'll be accountable for month-end financial reporting & analysis, delivering robust and accurate information and KPIs
• A key project will include developing the reporting suite to present financial and business performance, ensuring key metrics are captured and analysed
• Ideally, you’ve had experience at an early stage start up and minimum of 3-5 years experience working in a high growth environment and bonus points if you have experience in recommerce, circular economy or a marketplace. We’re looking to pay a starting salary of £50,000 - £65,000 for this role, depending on experience and will also look at more senior salaries on experience and all roles will come with a share options package as part of the deal

• This is a true ‘all round’ Finance Manager role, and with the level of growth the business is projecting you will be recruiting for your team within a year, who will take over a lot of the transactional workload, to enable the Finance Manager to spend their time being more strategic alongside Commercial stakeholders

Desirable

• Finance Function Ownership:
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including supplier payment runs, bank reconciliation, weekly debtors, and VAT return reviews (UK, Irish)
• Lead routine bookkeeping for accurate record-keeping while optimising processes
• Oversee the preparation of timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts, collaborating with department heads to meet set targets
• Drive the annual planning process in collaboration with the CFO, department managers, and senior leadership
• Develop and maintain effective metrics and dashboards for continuous improvement and progress tracking
• Month-End Reporting:
• Take charge of month-end reporting, encompassing production of the management accounts, monthly cash flow forecast, margin analysis, department reviews and stockreconciliation.
• Develop and present monthly information packs, offering relevant insights at the monthly all-hands meeting, and monitor key business KPIs
• Budgeting and Forecasting Support:
• Provide support for budgeting and cash flow forecasting efforts
• Commercial Initiatives:
• Identify opportunities to streamline channel-specific data preparation and reporting processes, reducing manual errors and enhancing analysis capabilities
• Collaborate with the Finance Director to develop financial planning functions, implementing monthly metrics for improved business visibility and risk mitigation
• Support business expansion by implementing best finance practices and ensuring compliance with local statutory requirements
• Collaborate with the supply chain team to implement automation and systems, such as the Stock Management System, meeting all finance requirements
• Analysis and Reporting:
• Analyse revenue, marketing ROI, and other key business indicators to support decision-making
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including standard reports and ad hoc analysis
• Conduct monthly financial forecasts, analyzing sales wins and losses, bonus calculations, staff expenses, and unusual expense items
• Analyze and explain monthly balance sheet and income statement fluctuations and variances
• Operational Support:
• Prepare and maintain monthly account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entry preparation
• Support the corporate tax department with required information for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Ensure accuracy in accounting at warehouse operations through collaboration and coordination
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities
• Qualifications:
• Previous finance experience (minimum 4-5 years)
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Unquestionable integrity and discretion; confident, self-starting professional
• Desired Experience:
• Accountancy qualification – ACA, ACCA, or CIMA with at least 3-4 years of post-qualified experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Analytical thinker, team player, self-starter with excellent attention to detail
• Aptitude for learning new technologies and analytical methodologies related to business intelligence and data analysis
• Proficiency in Excel and Hyperion, including experience in building and refining financial models
