Our take
For a long time, the live music industry has been dominated by long-standing ticketing sites. However, consumer frustration with these sites has grown considerably in recent years. DICE solves this problem by offering a sleek and usable alternative to sites like Ticketmaster.
DICE was founded by a former consultant and record label founder, which has helped shape the company considerably. DICE’s main strength is its app, which balances engagement, discovery and ease-of-use. Compared to sites and apps such as Ticketmaster, DICE offers greater depth. This has helped the company to reach a valuation of around $400M following an impressive raise in 2021. This is testament to DICE’s growing ubiquity.
Since raising $122M in funding in 2021, DICE has set about expanding its operations, with an especial focus on the lucrative US & German market. So far, this expansion has fared well and, with the live music and entertainment industry experiencing a considerable upturn, DICE’s success is likely to continue.
