Who you are

Minimum 7+ years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, governance, risk oversight, or independent testing within a banking or fintech environment
Demonstrated experience building or managing independent testing or quality assurance programs
Experience supporting regulatory exams, external audits, and sponsor bank oversight
Prior managerial experience, including oversight of distributed or offshore teams preferred
Strong understanding of compliance governance frameworks, issue management, and policy lifecycle management
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess complex regulatory requirements
Proven ability to operate independently and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing materials for senior leadership or board-level reporting

What the job involves

Lead and scale the second-line independent testing and oversight function
Develop and execute a risk-based annual BSA/AML testing plan aligned to regulatory expectations and internal risk assessments
Oversee governance framework including policy development, change management, approvals, and regulatory updates
Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support on BSA priorities, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), high-risk industry requirements, and emerging regulatory expectations
Manage issue identification, remediation tracking, validation, and reporting to senior management and risk committees
Oversee and manage India-based testing resources to ensure consistent methodology, quality control, and defensible documentation standards
Support external audits, sponsor bank reviews, due diligence requests, and regulatory examinations
Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor effectiveness of the BSA/AML control environment
Partner cross-functionally with Product, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Legal to provide governance oversight and ensure regulatory alignment
Coordinate with business teams to obtain data, documentation, and evidence necessary for testing and internal control reviews
Identify control gaps, recommend enhancements, and support scalable compliance program improvements as Bluevine grows
