Who you are
- 2+ years of relevant professional experience
- ML/AI engineering experience, including exposure to production systems
- Hands-on experience with open-source AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar, and working with APIs like OpenAI or Anthropic
- Strong programming skills in Python, with an understanding of backend development
- An understanding of how to maintain open-source frameworks in a production environment
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new technologies, with a passion for solving real-world problems through AI
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a team-oriented approach
- An entrepreneurial mindset, with a drive to explore and experiment with new tools and approaches in applied AI

- Tabs is seeking an AI Engineer who will play a key role in building the core systems that enable intelligent agents and AI-driven workflows, revolutionizing how finance teams operate
- This position offers the chance to work on production AI systems and shape the future of automation in B2B finance
- We work hard. One-week sprints, weekly ship goals, and short feedback cycles. Built around intra-month product releases
- We work smart. Get in front of the customer, use both data and customer feedback to drive decisions, while keeping the bigger picture in the back of our minds
- We work together. In-office culture with people that you want to work with. Lots of whiteboard space. Expense coffee, lunch and dinner when in the office
- Design and build tools that enable users to create and manage AI pipelines and agents
- Integrate frameworks like LangChain or similar to make LLMs and retrieval systems easy to use and deploy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver AI-powered solutions that align with user needs and business goals
- Deploy AI-driven features into production, ensuring reliability, scalability, and user impact
- Stay curious and contribute fresh ideas to enhance the AI capabilities of the Tabs platform

Tabs' AI-powered accounts receivable platform empowers B2B businesses to optimize their AR processes, saving them time, improving cash flow and reducing the rate of billing errors. The platform is able to do this because its AI is capable of reading and understanding commercial contracts, which until now required the eye of an experienced finance professional.
The company already boasts a number of clients such as Pelago, Findigs and Volta. A 2024 influx of funding sets Tabs up for further development and growth, and cements it as one to watch.
