What the job involves
- As the Growth Marketing Manager at Stytch, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our reach and impact within the developer community
- Your mission will be to develop and implement growth strategies that resonate with this core audience
- You will leverage your understanding of developer marketing channels to craft targeted campaigns, optimize website and onboarding UX, partner with sales, and increase Stytch's visibility and engagement
- Growth leadership: Crafting and executing growth strategies that target and captivate developers
- Data and experimentation: Analyzing marketing performance and product data, customer feedback, and market trends to constantly innovate and refine strategy
- Acquisition strategy: Managing inbound acquisition channels and supporting outbound efforts, optimizing the mix of email marketing, ABM, paid marketing, and events to maximize ROI
- Campaign management: Leading multi-channel growth campaigns that span from early awareness to demand capture and deeper sales engagement
- Retention marketing: Directing lifecycle marketing that engages customers at critical moments in their journey to accelerate adoption and improve retention
- Drive key acquisition and retention results by constantly optimizing and executing our growth strategy across existing and emerging developer channels
- Regularly share insights about Stytch’s funnel, our customer’s adoption journey, and key lifecycle milestones
- Lead marketing campaigns and projects that bring together marketing, sales, and product teams, as well as third-party contracts and agencies
- Establish a culture of data-driven decision-making within the marketing team, leading to more targeted and effective marketing strategies
Our take
Passwords don’t typically offer the levels of security they once did, and we need more of them than ever - leading to poor security practices and a huge volume of subsequent data breaches. Some startups have emerged to help manage them; Stytch, however, is part of a growing cohort looking to cut them out entirely.
The idea is to make navigating digital space frictionless. To this end, Stytch has developed an out-of-the-box, easy-to-deploy version of about a dozen passwordless authentication solutions. It has seen a sharper increase in users and funding than rival startups like Magic, which it puts down to an API-first product, which is less limiting in its application than the widgets we’ve seen developed by earlier entrants to the space.
That alone, however, won’t be enough to push it ahead of other highly successful innovators in the space. Transmit Security has received record-breaking backing for its biometrics-led approach. This goes to show how far the market is betting on a passwordless future, and Stytch's acquisition by customer engagement platform Twilio exemplifies this trend.
