Role
Who you are
- You have worked 3+ years as an AE, Partnership Manager, Territory Manager or equivalent quota carrying roles. You have a track record of beating targets
- You ideally have real estate experience and a deep network of contacts within the industry
- You are skilled in CRM software, ideally Salesforce
- You have outstanding negotiation, consulting, and customer facing sales skills
- You have strong analytical and problem solving skills
What the job involves
- Runwise is looking for an Account Executive who will be responsible for signing up new buildings with Runwise in the greater Chicagoland Area.
- This candidate will do everything from prospecting (personally and with business development support), running sales pitches, coordinating an in territory technician for pre sales inspections, partnering with marketing to build our brand presence, and managing key customer expansions
- As an ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE you will have the ability to manage your own time and pipeline, set priorities, meet monthly goals and work directly with our Co-Founder, Head of Sales and Chief Growth Officer on the most pressing initiatives within our rapidly scaling business
- Building and maintaining a sales pipeline with a high conversion rate
- Being ahead of the curve on all industry trends (local to your territory and otherwise)
- Consistently identifying new sales opportunities through in territory networking and customer referrals
- Managing a team around you (in field technicians and prospectors) towards optimal outcomes
- Constantly demonstrating first-class communication, pipeline management and customer service skills to develop long-lasting relationships with customers
- Helping to identify customer needs and communicate how company products and services may fulfill those needs

Runwise provides technology for building managers to operate energy systems better. This lets them lower emissions while providing greater comfort for residents and workers. It works via a combination of wireless control, a sensor network and a software platform. This is attractive because is lowers operating costs significantly and makes running buildings easier.
Runwise controls the key energy systems in thousands of buildings across the US, and removes significant amounts of carbon emissions per year. It is also well-funded, which has allowed it to expand significantly and make more buildings operate better and greener.
