Role
Who you are
- Have 5+ years of experience building, maintaining, and debugging distributed systems in a customer-facing environment that allows for little to no downtime
- Hand-on experience building and scaling multi-region cloud environments on either AWS or GCP
- Experience with container-centric architectures built with tools like Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift, etc.), ECS, or Mesos
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tooling like Terraform or Pulumi
- Enthusiasm for mentoring and sponsoring less-experienced engineers
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills
- Have familiarity with contributing to fullstack applications, services, and tools authored in TypeScript, Node, or Go

- We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Hosting to make our core product services more reliable, scalable, and efficient with eye toward future growth, while also helping build new internal processes to make our engineering teams more efficient

- Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager
- Create and test reliable cloud infrastructure services that support Webflow’s range of products
- Balance reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency concerns while refactoring and modernizing existing services
- Collaborate with product engineering teams to deliver new solutions for services and ways of working that might not exist yet
- Participate in design discussions and code reviews with your team
- Participate in and continuously improve on-call and incident response processes
- Enhance engineering speed and safety through standardized processes, automation, and cloud best practices
- In addition to the responsibilities outlined above, at Webflow we will support you in identifying where your interests and development opportunities lie and we'll help you incorporate them into your role
Our take
No-code development systems allow users to create and publish the kind of output that was once only possible with the help of a team of developers. Webflow is one such platform that allows non-developers to create professional websites without knowing any code. It joins others such as Pantheon, Weebly, Squarespace, and Wix in a hotly-contested low-code development market. While competition is high, so too is demand, with low-code platforms accounting for more than 65% of application development activity in 2024.
The popularity of platforms such as Webflow is perhaps not surprising, as low-code development is usually cheaper for companies to implement and reduces time to market. Webflow has been used by over 3.5 million designers and teams to create sites for companies including enterprise brands such as Dell, Rakuten, UpWork, and Petal. It raised a large amount of funding in a Series C round in 2022. This is being used to further develop its platform, with a longer-term goal of pivoting to providing a no-code tool not only for websites, but software development as well.
