Who you are
- This role is perfect for someone with a background in data analytics or finance who is eager to drive impactful projects while gaining hands-on experience in the operations of a dynamic, growing startup
- 1-2 years of experience in FP&A, Financial Analysis, or a similar field or a similar field is strongly preferred
- Excellent Excel/Google Sheets skills
- Google Looker Studio, QuickBooks, or Stripe experience is a plus
- Highly attentive to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- An eagerness to embrace new challenges and tackle tasks outside your current experience without much direction
- A strong desire to learn about the operations of a successful startup

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst to join our growing team
- In this role, you will play a critical part in enhancing financial reporting and supporting other key financial and operational initiatives across the company
- As the Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with our Director of Finance to maintain and refine Siro’s reporting
- Additionally, you will support a variety of ad hoc projects, and gain broad exposure to the inner workings of a rapidly growing startup
- Financial Statement Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s financial statements, ensuring accuracy and full accountability in reporting
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Deliver comprehensive financial analyses across business units, including detailed reports on trends, cost management, and operational efficiency
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to lead the creation and execution of annual budgets and forecasts, aligning them with corporate objectives and tracking actual expenses versus projections
- Investor Relations: Manage communication with investors, providing regular financial updates, responding to inquiries, and ensuring alignment between investor expectations and company performance
- Compliance Oversight: Support company-wide compliance initiatives, ensuring financial and operational processes meet the highest standards and maintain audit readiness
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance efficiency through cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals
- KPI Development & Reporting: Create and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial and operational success, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across all company operations
Our take
The activities of sales representatives are essential for maximizing the profits of a business, but it’s difficult to optimize this when there is no efficient way of tracking conversations. It is almost impossible to know exactly how long a sales rep pitches a product or exactly what they said, and this makes it difficult for businesses to improve their sales.
Siro provides a digital mobile and desktop app that facilitates the tracking and analysis of the conversations of sales reps and clients. The app records and transcribes sales conversations, providing a quantifiable footprint of every sales conversation which can then be analyzed by sales managers for improvements.
Whilst the recording and transcription software behind Siro is nothing new, the integrated approach to tracking sales conversations is one that has been untapped until now. The company claims that when used properly, its sales coaching system can reduce sales conversation time tenfold - giving Siro the potential to take sales coaching to a whole new level.
