Role
Who you are
- 8-12+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, investment banking, or consulting
- Experience partnering with engineering, product, or technology leadership on investment decisions and resource prioritization
- Experience evaluating technology investments, including software development and ROI analysis
- Strong understanding of technology cost structures, including engineering headcount, infrastructure, vendors, and software development & capitalization
- Experience managing financial planning for large or complex technology investment portfolios
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data
- Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ERP systems and BI tools supporting planning and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- Knowledge of coding languages such as SQL, or use of AI would be a plus
- Build strong partnerships and influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-driven insights
- Demonstrate strategic thinking and sound judgment in complex, ambiguous environments
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Act with integrity and uphold high standards in financial governance and decision-making

- Our team works closely with stakeholders across the organization to forecast performance, identify opportunities, and improve outcomes. Whether it’s guiding investment decisions, enhancing reporting, or uncovering margin and growth opportunities, our work directly shapes how the business operates and scales
- We are seeking a Director of Technology & Product Finance to partner with senior leadership across Engineering, Product, and Design to shape how we invest in technology and product development
- This role sits at the intersection of finance, product strategy, and technology investment, providing financial insight and governance across a large-scale technology portfolio. You will lead financial planning for the Delivery organization while advising leaders on investment prioritization, resource allocation, and long-term technology strategy
- This is a highly visible role with direct impact on how we deploy technology investments to drive scalable growth and innovation
- Act as a trusted advisor to technology and product leaders, translating financial and operational data into actionable insights that shape investment decisions
- Partner with Engineering and Product teams to connect roadmaps and initiatives to measurable financial outcomes (e.g., revenue impact, cost efficiency, scalability)
- Provide guidance on investment decision, trade-offs, and resource prioritization across the technology portfolio
- Lead annual planning, forecasting, and monthly financial performance reporting for Engineering, Product, and Design organizations
- Oversee key cost drivers including headcount, infrastructure, vendor spend, and operating investments
- Partner with leadership in business reviews to assess performance, risks, and opportunities
- Guide financial evaluation of technology and product investments to assess ROI and strategic alignment
- Support investment decisions across engineering and product initiatives
- Partner with Accounting on software capitalization and investment reporting
- Improve visibility into software development investments and technology spend through financial frameworks and reporting
- Own tooling that tracks engineering investment allocation and capitalizable development work
- Identify & analyze cost drivers across engineering and infrastructure, aligning operational activity and product usage with consumption-based technology spend (e.g., cloud and platform services)
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing technology finance team supporting the Delivery organization
- Drive improvements in financial processes, reporting, and analytics to strengthen investment discipline

Live Nation is the world's leading live entertainment company, sitting at the top of the market in live events and ticketing. Formed in 2005, it is a major international company, with key business segments made up of concerts, ticketing, and sponsorship and advertising.
Despite its dominant position in the market, the company saw an 84% drop in revenue during 2020 and the closure of live events. Since then, however, demand has been stronger than ever for their ticket sales. This is a reflection that live events remain a clear priority for consumers and has been further reflected in Live Nation's acquisitions of companies - like Goodlive - that complement and bolster Live Nation's portfolio.
In addition to live events, a key area to watch for Live Nation will be the rise of online concert streaming, like that undertaken by competitors such as Driift.
