Role
Who you are
- Prior exposure to public cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP
- General understanding of the best practices in implementing secure and robust infrastructure
- Ability to work autonomously on projects with limited supervision and direction
- Ability to work and communicate effectively with a remote team
Desirable
- 1+ years experience as an Infrastructure, DevOps, Site Reliability or another infrastructure-focused engineering role
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker Containers and IaC tools (such as Terraform, CloudFormation or AWS CDK)
- Has achieved or working towards their AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification, or has cleared the AWS Cloud Practitioner certification
- Experience with or general understanding of CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) practice and its purpose
What the job involves
- As an Associate Engineer in Cloud Infrastructure at OCP, you will be a part of a team building and managing a cloud-based infrastructure platform and tooling powering online features of our products
- With the ownership scope spanning cloud infrastructure design and setup, continuous integration, build and deploy solutions as well as observability and infra security aspects
- Manage cloud infrastructure and other aspects such as capacity planning, monitoring, and CI/CD pipeline as a code
- Work closely with senior engineers to develop the best technical design and approach for new and existing service developments
- You will contribute with planning, designing, deploying and operating new infrastructure as well as iterate over existing infrastructure to give our players the best experience possible
- Manage tooling for building and operating OCP online platform
- Use measured data to justify your insights and improve the services and/or user experience
Our take
Developing a game not only requires a good concept, but also the technical know-how to bring that concept to virtual life, a fact which has left many creators unable to make the games of their imaginations a reality. Omni Creator Products (OCP) aims to democratize game development, by providing the tools for anyone to create a game without the need for technical expertise.
OCP, founded in 2021, wants every player to be able to make their own game, and is working on a pair of projects to that end. The first is a minimal tool palette for game design, built to be intuitive and accessible to the non-technical. The second is a full-featured social game which creators can use as a base for their own games, modifying only the aspects they want to whilst safe in the knowledge that the rest will continue to function.
The OCP team comprises several industry veterans from an array of successful gaming companies, which bodes well for the future of its product and the space it will find in the market. The company has been focused on hiring additional talent to accelerate the development of its projects.
