Who you are
- You have outstanding communication and collaboration skills and are able to work with a diverse group, get alignment, and drive the product forward. You are execution focused and emphasize getting things done while paying attention to important details
- A desire to sweat the details and ship great end-to-end developer experiences. APIs, UIs, docs: all of these are part of the product
- Proven track record of shipping developer-facing products from ideation to launch. You should know what it means to be a developer and what gets in the way of building production services
- A love for talking to developers at organizations both large and small on a daily basis so that you can build and ship products that solve real problems
- Demonstrated experience with transactional databases or storage products (NoSQL or SQL, building on or building them directly), and a desire to become a domain expert in the space as quickly as humanly possible
- A focus on the developer: you'll be working directly with customers, and often be a part of the customer's team in helping them get their initial implementation off the ground
- BS/MS in a technology field
- Professional product management experience (5-8 years), previous founder experience or demonstrated experience on an engineering team shipping user-facing products
- Strong technical abilities. You should be intimately familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy applications. You are capable of wading into the details & understanding engineering decisions' impact on the product, but can also step back and take a 30k foot view
- Experience using developer tools: you should have a favorite text editor, be familiar with composing CLI tools, and be the first user of the products you’re shipping
- Programming experience (JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust, Go, etc.) and/or experience with SQL dialects
What the job involves
- You’ll be responsible for leading Durable Objects, a powerful compute & storage primitive used by customers and many of Cloudflare’s own services as part of Cloudflare’s Developer Platform
- Durable Objects unlock stateful Workers applications on Cloudflare’s global network. Many of Cloudflare’s products, Agents SDK, Containers, Workflows, D1, etc, are built on top of Durable Objects
- This is a role with high agency and accountability: you’ll be the sole PM for the products you’re responsible for, and you’ll work closely with your peers across the team to ensure we’re shipping great developer experiences and not silos
- Drive the strategy, roadmap & (most importantly) ship great products that help developers build reliable, high performance full-stack applications on Cloudflare
- Lead projects from ideation through launch, and continuing through ongoing maintenance and support
- Develop and nurture relationships with engineering and coordinate closely to ensure successful delivery of product features
- Talk to developers (probably the most important)! You'll need to be crafty and develop a playbook to find the right users to talk to. This might include diving into our BI tools to find specific cohorts that are worth talking to, engaging on our developer discord, or heading straight to Twitter or Hacker News to engage and build relationships with the community
- Partner with other departments such as Product Marketing, Marketing, Community & Developer Relations, Sales, and Customer Support to drive adoption with and gather feedback from customers and prospects
- Ruthlessly prioritize across a complex environment of diverse customers, stakeholders and objectives
- Represent the company externally as needed, including meetings with customers and prospects and analysis
- Delve into market research to drive new investment opportunities in the developer space

Cloudflare is a multi-service global network that provides web security and infrastructure, DDoS mitigation services, and a content delivery network. Founded in 2009, Cloudflare has risen to become an industry giant, with over 25 million global internet properties on its network.
Cloudflare has been responsible for a number of admirable initiatives, offering free web protection to human rights groups, journalists, artists, and US election websites. This goes some way to counteracting the flak Cloudflare has received in some circles for the controversial groups and users who use its services. This chequered history, however, has not affected its over 80% market share in the content delivery network field.
This is perhaps in part because it has proven sharp at staying abreast of the rapidly morphing tech and digital space and customer demands. For example, Cloudflare is shifting to 100% renewable energy usage to create a zero-emissions internet, and in 2020 released a feature that would help users navigate data privacy regulations by selecting where their data is stored.
And impressive third-quarter 2025 results show strong momentum, with revenue rising to $562 million from $430 million a year earlier. The company also raised its full-year guidance, underscoring confidence in continued growth. As demand for secure, cloud-based infrastructure keeps growing, Cloudflare's expanding platform and improving efficiency leave it well positioned to capture further gains in a rapidly growing market.
