Who you are
- The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with a strong background in DevOps practices and a passion for maintaining high service availability
- 3-5 years experience in a Site Reliability Engineer role
- Experience in incident management, including on-call support. Tools: PagerDuty or similar
- Proficiency in performance optimization and testing techniques. Tools: New Relic, Datadog or similar
- Solid understanding of change management processes. Tools: Jira or similar
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution. Tools: AWS Backup, Azure Site Recovery
- Knowledge of capacity planning and SLA management
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines: GitLab CI, GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools: Tools: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible
- Understanding and advocacy of DevOps culture and practices
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent work experience
Desirable
- Azure DevOps Engineer or Azure Solutions Architect certification
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect (CSA) certification
What the job involves
- The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Euna Solutions will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems
- This position will help with incident management, optimize performance, oversee change management, and drive disaster recovery planning
- Additionally, the SRE will be responsible for managing capacity, ensuring SLA compliance, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and Information as Code (IaC) scripts
- Lead high severity incident responses, ensuring timely resolution and communication
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure optimal system performance by identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks
- Implement performance monitoring and tuning solutions to enhance system efficiency
- Develop and execute performance tests to evaluate system capacity and stability
- Oversee changes to the production environments, ensuring compliance with change management processes
- Analyze test results and recommend improvements to meet performance standards
- Coordinate with stakeholders to plan and review changes, minimizing disruptions
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execution to ensure business continuity
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery documentation and conduct regular drills
- Manage system capacity to accommodate growth and handle traffic spikes
- Monitor and manage SLA compliance, ensuring services meet agreed-upon performance criteria
- Perform capacity analysis and forecast future requirements to ensure scalability
- Report on SLA metrics and address any deviations from targets
- Manage and optimize continuous integration and deployment pipelines
- Ensure efficient and reliable code deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Monitor service availability and implement measures to maximize uptime
- Ensure IaC practices are followed for consistent and reproducible environments
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential issues affecting service reliability
- Maintain comprehensive operational procedures and process documentation
- Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible for all team members
