Role
Who you are
- You have experience leading engineering teams, you’re ready to take on a larger, more complex challenge
- 7-9 years of engineering experience. 2-3 years leading a team.
- A developer at heart but an entrepreneurial mindset & commercial focus
- Working on a customer-facing app
- Experience at a scale up or other fast-paced growth environment
- Excited by the autonomy and accountability to lead a high-performing engineering team.
Desirable
- Experience working with apps that leverage data
- Have been at a high-performing early stage business
What the job involves
- Building a World-Class Engineering Team: Lead the charge in establishing Connectd’s engineering department, from hiring and organizational design to defining the team’s culture and ways of working
- Manage the transition of technology ownership from external development partners to an in-house team, ensuring a seamless handover
- Develop and foster a high-performing engineering culture that supports growth, innovation, and accountability
- Define and implement a robust technical strategy, ensuring it supports long-term business goals while fostering autonomy within the team
- Delivering Business Impact: Work with your team to develop impactful features, proof-of-concepts, and solutions that demonstrate clear commercial value.
- Translate business objectives into actionable technical deliverables, leveraging different technologies to deliver results
- Collaborate with the VP of Product, Head of Design, and senior leaders to align the technical strategy with Connectd’s business goals
