Role
Who you are
- Proven professional experience working in Android NDK/C++ games or similar products
- Solid experience with a broad range of programming areas in shipping games or real-time visualization systems, with special attention given to low-level code and deep optimization
- Proficiency with development tools and profiling on modern systems, including frame capture and profiling with engine-level and platform-specific tooling
- Bonus points for experience with Unreal Engine on mobile platforms, especially in C++ using NDK on Android

- The Unreal Engine HMI team is looking for an experienced Mobile Platform Programmer passionate about creating world-class, industry leading in-car experiences targeting Android automotive platforms
- If you want to help create the future of in-car entertainment, this role is for you
- Develop cutting edge features of Unreal Engine on the Android Platform (Linux a plus)
- Analyze and continuously strive to solve problems and optimize performance of Unreal Engine features on modern Android devices
- Work with Google, mobile GPU and Android SoC vendors to help drive the development of Android Platform Support
- Collaborate with a variety of other Epic teams such as Fortnite mobile programming to help them solve complex technical challenges in ways that move the stability and quality of Unreal Engine forward
- Help us embrace, support, extend and enhance our engine for future mobile hardware

Its recent announcement - Unreal Engine 5 - is set to lay the technical foundations for countless future releases.

Its most recent success is undoubtedly the creation of Fortnite, which has gained hundreds of millions of users since its launch in 2017.

The release of next-generation consoles like the PS5 has enabled Epic Games to push the limits of their software, meaning it'll lead the charge in the creation of next-gen games. 2024 saw an unprecedented investment in Epic Games by Disney, amounting to $1.5 billion. This will enable Disney to promote iconic characters through the Fortnite game. With the number of people enjoying video games continuing to grow, there is no sign of Epic Games slowing down any time soon.
