What the job involves
- As a Sr. Manager of Engineering, you will be managing a high-performing SRE/DevOps squad of engineers covering our product value streams from our HQ in El Segundo, CA. This role will report directly to our VP, Engineering. This team will be responsible for making sure our service level objectives are met to delight our customers
- You will mentor, lead, and grow our team of software and infra engineers while operating effectively in a Series B environment—comfortable with ambiguity, lean process, and rolling up your sleeves into code, design reviews, or incident response when the situation calls for it
- Drive hiring strategy and close top engineering talent
- Motivate and communicate across multiple levels of their department
- Have successful peer partnerships with other department leaders in Engineering, and cross-functionally (product, sales, marketing, etc)
- Partner closely with Product leadership to translate roadmap into executable engineering plans, including running prioritization and trade-off conversations
- Development, measurement, and management of key metrics for team performance
