Role
Who you are
- Core PM skillset: 6-8+ years of solid PM experience launching high quality products; strategic thinker that can take a step back when solutioning and connect opportunities to business value; can execute on launch, go-to-market, monetization, etc
- Experience with vision and 0 to 1: Can incorporate user and market research, new advances in technology, and relevant policy / regulatory information into a compelling story and vision. Extreme sense of ownership and scrappy with limited resources
- Cross-functional: Experience working across other product teams and commercial teams
- Technical experience: Can get very deep in understanding and analyzing data. Understands how data is created, displayed, and common pitfalls; Analyst-type background preferred
Desirable
- Industry experience: healthcare data, B2B, products for executives, data monetization
- Client experience: deeply embedding with a customer (e.g., consulting background)
What the job involves
- Our data products at Sage provide insights to senior living communities that help them improve operations and provide better care to residents
- As the product manager on this team, you will improve Sage’s existing data platform and insights delivered via improved user experience and representation of insights, expanded data collected and insights shown, and better recommendation algorithms
- You will play a crucial role in helping clients understand the value of Sage so they provide the best care possible
- Conduct market and user research to deep dive into client needs, identifying opportunities for improvement and expansion with Sage data products
- Develop a strategy for how data products can supercharge the value clients receive from Sage
- Establish key metrics tied to overall business outcomes to measure success and iterate quickly
- Execute on launches with high judgement decisions, quality documentation and clear communication
- Partner closely with analytics, engineering, design, marketing, sales, and operations teams to unblock development and bring new features and products to market
- Ensure alignment with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
- Craft the long term vision for how Sage Insights can provide value in new ways and for new users
Our take
In the event of an accident or fall, elder care facilities largely rely on outdated nurse call systems, which can mean residents wait longer than necessary to receive care or attention. Sage solves this problem by providing carers and institutions with a modern operating system.
Sage's caregiver app allows carers to identify patients in need of help, as well as providing tools for triage and the reviewing of care information. As one of the first companies to bring a data-driven approach to elder care in this way, Sage has received strong attention and raised an impressive $35 million in funding in 2024.
The age-tech market is growing steadily, and becoming more competitive, which means Sage will need to invest heavily in scaling its outreach in order to consolidate its progress. That said, it has established an early foothold which gives it a place to work from as it develops into the future.
