Who you are
- As a strategic partner to senior business leaders, it's critical that you possess exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills, and are adept at cutting through complexity to shape and drive decisions
- While being an expert in all functions is not required, you’ll need to demonstrate confidence, resourcefulness, adaptability, and flexibility to address issues to move a launch forward
- 12+ years experience in project or program management
- 12+ years experience delivering impactful programs at scale
- 8+ years of experience within enterprise Software as a Service (SAAS) or related industry
- Ability to drive cross-functional alignment at a strategic level across the organization, ensuring delivery of complex programs
- Strong decision making in critical and complex program
- Evaluate strategic options, assess enterprise risks, and drive impactful solutions
- Understanding of governance management principles and the ability to establish frameworks for large-scale programs and organizational initiatives
- Facilitate executive-level meetings and strategic discussions, ensuring strategic alignment
- Anticipate long-term strategic challenges, identifying disruptive opportunities, or developing contingency plans for programs
- Project Documentation standards and the ability to create, manage, and maintain plans for highly complex and strategic programs
- Project Management skills including planning, strategic resource management, and executive stakeholder management
- Scheduling skills such as integrated enterprise-level schedules, managing strategic dependencies, and forecasting long-term impacts
- Strategic Alignment and the ability to ensure programs are strategically positioned to drive outcomes
What the job involves
- The New Offer Launch (NOL) team is responsible for commercializing new sources of revenue at Workday, prioritizing and driving accountability for the planned business impact
- These sources may include newly developed product and service offers, solutions enabled through partnerships, or expansion of our target markets
- The NOL team partners across all Workday business functions to define the business strategy and then drive action to position new businesses to scale
- As the volume and complexity of Workday’s product & offering portfolio grows, we are partnering with key business and operations functions, including Finance, Sales, Partners, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Business Technology team to make foundational improvements to our operations to accelerate speed to market and scale new business models
- As a New Offer Launch Lead, you will organize and drive a cross-functional team to define the business strategy and bring new offers to market
- This is a highly visible role within Workday that requires a high degree of business acumen and an exceptional ability to build cross-functional relationships while driving programmatic execution
